This is a TV show that regardless of whether you are a trucker or even know anyone who is, it still hits home. The stories and scenarios can be quite tear-jerking at times. From a trucker whom lost his mother to breast cancer to another trucker that gave up his life to drive long hours to help out another relative. The stories are of amazing loyalty, courage and honor. The truckers whom they select to rebuild and renew (or just simply trick out) are real heroes that put family and faith before anything else. And, even though the Chrome Shop Mafia (the crew that actually does the rebuilds) does an amazing job on these trucks it is these stories and the lives of the people whose trucks are being tricked out that make this a must watch show.
Episodes like Dale Hayden’s For The Cure really hit home as Dale Hayden was a family first guy. After his caring mother died he was the one to step in and look after his younger siblings. According to his family he was always there for them whenever they needed him; a real honorable guy. Then his sister was badly injured and Dale put his truck driving and everything on hold to care for her. Once his sister fully recovered she got in contact with the folks at Chrome Shop Mafia and they agreed to trick his truck as a way of saying thanks for being a truly great person. So they tricked out his truck to be an amazing showpiece that is all about breast cancer and the race for the cure. That was an emotional episode and an amazing truck and story.
Episode Mark Phillips Lucky 7 which was a build for a man paralyzed from the waste down. Mark Phillips was involved in a near fatal accident that left him paralyzed. After years of surgeries he went back to trucking to help pay for his families needs. Regardless of the difficulties he had driving, getting in and out of his truck, etc… Most people would have just gone on disability or public assistance in his case, not Mark. He just kept his head held up high and did what he had to do for his family. Mark is a real mans man. So they did an amazing rebuild of his truck to reward his perseverance and make it a good luck symbol – hence the Lucky 7.

In another episode entitled Matthew Graves’ Grave Digger, they rebuild an amazing truck for Mark Graves. Mark has six kids and since his wife lost her job caring for their sick daughter, he has been working overtime hauling loads over the road and is never home. He did whatever he had to do to pay for the endless mounting medical bills and such. Mark works hard to make sure his family has everything they need, is a stand up guy and is a real family hero. So, the Chrome Shop Mafia outdid them self when they tricked his truck and made it similar to the real Grave Digger monster truck in its scheme.
Headlight polish and plastic cleaner from the best - MDWholesale.com There are many more episodes and many tear-jerking stories of hardship, courage, perseverance and real heroes. If only more people in Washington D.C. (I’m talking about the elected officials and such) were like these people. They should make this show and these stories mandatory viewing for all elected officials. These people in these episodes like Dale Hayden, Mark Phillips and Mathew Graves among others are the real heroes and should be the role models for our youth. We should hear more about them and not about the Paris Hilton’s, Lindsey Lohan’s, Kim Kardashian’s and Britney Spear’s that currently fill our media with stories of drunk driving, drugs, rich spoiled brats, bad behavior, etc… Trick My Truck is an amazing show on CMT with a lot of heart. It has real stories of heroism and strong family bonds and it is and will be a huge hit for years to come, I’m sure.
