Not only is street racing illegal, it’s also extremely dangerous not just for the actual drivers but also for the public! Street racing is a very irresponsible activity to participate on. If you race on public streets it may seem at first like a great, cool idea, but it could land you in jail, kill you, or you may even run over an innocent bystander - this has happened in recent years.

If I did that I don’t think I could ever get behind the wheel of a car ever again, it would be completely my fault. And not only that, but you could be charged with manslaughter or worse and spend many years in jail. So it’s surprising just how many people do actually street race. The cars used in street racing are not your generic, standard cars, many of these are highly tuned beasts that are capable of going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 4 seconds, which is phenomenal, you try finding this sort of performance in a standard road car. Because the cars are capable of such high speeds if the cops ever do catch anyone then they don’t see the point of giving up so easily, instead they would rather have a chase. Actually some individuals find the police chasing them to be more exhilarating than the actual race. Obviously a high speed police chase is extremely dangerous, the chances of killing somebody else or even yourself are greatly increased.
Nobody should speed, and breaking the speed limit this much is very irresponsible. It would scar you for life if you ever killed anyone. Just try to stick to the speed limits and be a careful and courteous driver.

I saw something about illegal street racing on the TV. These kids are crazy. Look at Nick Hogan and the Graziano boy whom is now a vegetable due to Nick's careless racing. He had been ticketed and pulled over for street racing, speeding and more numerous times. Now, due to his carefree attitude, someone got seriously hurt. In my state they will actually confiscate the cars involved and put some serious points on the speeders license. This racing stuff just has to end.

I see what you mean. I had bad headlights on my Ford Taurus and I did have a hard time seeing at night while driving. I thought it was just me.
